The west coast sure turned it on for those who made it!
The comp director Josh Clarke broke down half way to Marrawah (just after his rodeo ute clocked up 400 000km, thats right 400 000km!!!) and so the comp didnt go ahead when it was meant to, instead a few free surfs and expression session was the go.
The 2 Andy's (shwarts, Hartley) got some good barrels on the right rip bowl. While Guy, T-Bag and "Josh Clarke Jones" hunted the big lefts at the southern end of the beach. While the rest of the LUST crew hastled for everything on offer up and down the beach!
Benham hands down got the best wipeout in front of the Comp tent while everyone was enjoying the BBQ on the beach which sent everyone crazy! I reckon he will be picking sand out of his ... for a couple of weeks or so in between chiropractor appointments!
Next comp this Saturday on the East Coast at Dianas Basin, Retro/Expression Session and normal surf format comp will be run so bring your cool old boards or go big and punt for points.
Josh Clarke Jones is Having his 21st Birthday Party Saturday night, most of the LUST crew will be staying on and camping the night, the waves both Sat and Sun will be smallish but of good shape and quality with a 15 second period by the looks of the forcast.
